The Smoky Mountains in October were absolutely gorgeous. We got there just as the leaves were starting to go red, so we were witnesses to a sea of color no matter which direction we looked.
After a quick stop at hanging rock, we started our way to Gatlinburg along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took the parkway from Boone, NC to Asheville, NC.

I got ample pics along the entire iconic parkway. My favorite is from the highly-photographed Linn-Cove Viaduct.

The Great Smoky Mountains have the densest population of Black Bears in America. So we certainly got to see our share of the bears!
